首先感謝某版友在我上篇講解文章的推文提出看法，
我覺得有人跟我互相討論是件很開心的事情，至少讓我不感寂寞。
有關先前：
another後只接單數
other後只接複數
的說明，鄙以為我不是在寫文法書，故此沒有必要把「所有」細竭盡述；
以「解題」方向來看，重點觀念和考點拿出來解釋應該就夠了（想法勿戰）。
不過我還是要說：
another後只接單數
other後只接複數
只不過有兩個觀念被引入其中，後面的名詞單複數確有變化：
(1) another + 數字 + N(s) 「再...」
= 數字 + more + N(s)
ex. I still need to buy two more books.
= I still need to buy another two books.
(我還需要再買兩本書。)
(2) other後面我依然堅持要接複數名詞，但是有個前提：單獨出現。
ex. The plan has been opposed by schools, businesses
and other local organizations.
那什麼情況other後面要接單數名詞呢？
就是other前面有one、或是表示文意只有「一個」的所有格的時候。
ex. I still have one other opinion.
= I still have another opinion.
ex. One of my hands was holding a bag, and my other hand was on the handrail.
ex. I think that there is no(= not a) other way.
至於d大在回文說的some other way也加單數的way，其實跟some有很大的關係。
很多人誤以為some一定翻「一些」，
其實很多人會忽略到some還有個意思叫做「某一個」，
就等於a certain，所以表示的還是單數意思，
所以後面接other依然要接單數名詞，就是因為這個緣故。
ex. I think there must be some other way to fix it.
= I think there must be a certain other way to fix it.

: 首先說，another的基本意思就是「另一個(的)」；換句話說another有兩個詞性：
: another adj. 另一個的
: n. 另一個
: 所以another永遠只能用單數名詞，因為「另一個」的基本觀念就是如此。
: 這題的one cookie after another，「一個餅乾之後在另一個」表示「一個接著一個」。
: other的意思只有adj，意思是其他的，後面要接複數名詞。
: 而other + Ns就等於others，所以表示others本身就是當複數名詞用。
: ex. Some people prefer tea, while other people(= others) love coffee.
: 至於什麼時候other或是others前面要接the，我認為這個考點比較多人混淆。
: *. 在有「明確範圍」的確定「最後」一個或是「最後」一批，就要用the other(s)。
: ex. I have two sons. One is Tom and the other is Jim.
: 這句話有明顯範圍(two sons)，所以一個講完了，
: 另一個就是「兩個當中的最後」，要用the other(注意the other當代名詞，當做單數)。
: 而先前講過：other + Ns = others，

: n. 另一個(本身就當單數代名詞用)
: 2. other adj. 其他的(+ Ns)
: 3. others n. 其他(= other + Ns)
: 4. the other n. 最後一個
: adj. 最後其他(+ 單數名詞 / 複數名詞皆可)
: 5. the others n. 最後其他(本身就當複數名詞)
: 給各位例句參詳：
: ex. She flung up first one arm and then the other.
: ex. Freddie set off and the others followed.
: ex. Mr. Harris and Mrs. Bate and three other teachers were there.
