[討論] 有關suggest的用法

表示提議、要求、命令等概念的動詞 （advise, recommend, suggest, propose, insist, request, demand） 後面的that子句應該用假設語氣的原形動詞。 The doctor advises/recommends/suggests/propose that Jerry get more exercises. 但我今天在國際學村的"新多益閱讀題庫大全"裏，p76的第五題看到一題如下 Financial advisers suggest that setting aside cash for emergencies --- it easier for the first-time investor to recover from losses. (A) makes (B) be made (C) make (D) made 由於suggest屬於"表示提議、要求、命令"的動詞，所以我選擇的答案是(C)， 但沒想到答案是(A) 解答提出的解釋是"此句的suggest不表示提議，而表示「暗示、委婉地說(imply)」， 故在that子句中不應選原具而是一般形 想請教各位，難道是因為在"語義"上讓人感覺較不強烈，所以才不用原形嗎? 因為這樣來看，propose或recommend也很容易在語氣上讓人感覺較不強烈 請問各位有什麼好方法來分辨這種差別嗎? -- -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 70.191.91.38
