副詞連接詞:
常見的有because, though, if, unless, as soon as, once...
副詞連接詞不能連接單字及片語，僅能連接子句。
副詞連接詞所帶領的子句即形成副詞子句。
ex: I like PTT [because it is useful and interesting].
[]裡面的就是副詞子句，用以形容前方的主要子句。
副詞子句不得單獨存在。
例如:I like PTT. Because it is useful and interesting. (錯誤)
連接副詞:
常見的有however, nevertheless, therefore, thus...
這些副詞有連接的意味，但是不能當作連接詞用。
連接副詞前方必須有分號，才能連接兩個子句。
ex: PTT is interesting thus I like it. (錯誤)
PTT is interesting; thus I like it.(正確)
連接副詞可以單獨存在。
ex: PTT is interesting. Thus I like it.
