: On June 3rd , 2011 at eight in the evening. Two students from the Art
: Department in Tung Hai University were hit by a drunk driver who ran through
: a red light when they were crossing the intersection of Chungkang Road and
: Flynn Road. The girl sitting in the back of the scooter was wounded very
: badly, she fell into a level 3 coma on the Glasgow Coma Scale, which means
: that her Brainstem is damaged.
: Students of THU often have car accidents on Chunkang Road, however we still
: don’t see the school taking any action to remedy this problem, we loudly
: demand the school build a plan a motorcycle lane around the school’s
: perimeter to reinforce the safety and to provide safe transit between the two
: campuses and to solve the conflicts between motorcyclists and pedestrians on
: the sidewalk.

: 目前美術系女同學還在榮總的呼吸科加護病房裡觀察
: 因為當場目擊此次事件的發生，深深感受到交通的問題
: 一直未有改善的情況，大家身為東海的學生也熱愛東海
: 但是學校董事會以及行政體系一直罔顧學生的安全
: 此次事件只是一個引爆點，以往的案例層出不窮
: 東海的學生何時才能夠安心的上下課
: 讓自己與家人不必在擔心來東海念書會有危險!!
: 此次活動將會是長期的奮鬥，未來將會規劃在校園中發起連署
: 除了連署之外還會有一連串的相關計畫進行
: 務必要讓董事會能夠重視學生們的意見!!
: 身為東海的學生，不能在讓自己的權益睡著了!!
