Taipei English Culture & Conversation Club
We are looking for new members who are -
@ actively preparing to study abroad specially in North America, and
@ who are curious about the Christian faith.
Do you know over 75% of Americans are Christians? If you plan to study
abroad, it would be to your great advantage to know something about
Christianity.
But don't worry, we are not here to convert. We are here to share our
Christian faith with you in a fun and totally pressure-free environment, so
please come relaxed.
Our purpose -
1. To introduce you to the Christian faith in a fun, pressure-free, English
speaking environment.
2. To help you improve your English, specially your speaking ability
3. To familiarize you with student life in North America
4. To introduce you to American culture and traditions
In our meeting & parties (we love parties), you will -
1. Speak English 100% of the time (if you choose to)
2. Make friends with many native English speakers from all over the world.
3. Celebrate American holidays with us and have great fun!
Group Leader: Narie Hsing
Narie lived in the U.S. for over 30 years. Her background includes
counseling, teaching and writing. She is currently living in Taipei and is
working on a book.
Meeting Format
Time: Friday
Dinner 6:30-7:30 pm (optional)
Meeting 7:30-9 pm
Place: Will be announced
We will be meeting at different cafes near MRT in the Central Taipei area.
The exact meeting location will be announced the day before the meeting.
Meeting Format
Checking In (2-3 minutes)
- Please share with the group something about yourself/your life this week
Mini Presentation (5 minutes)
Imagine yourself as a reporter, please share with the group something you
saw, read or heard about. It can be an event, a movie, a song, a book, a
place you visited, a piece of news ...
- Please choose something that touched your heart in some ways.
- And please share why you chose this topic and your thoughts/feelings about
it.
- Feel free to use photos, videos or anything else to help you with your
sharing.
Please Note: This is not a Christian fellowship group. If you are a Christian
looking for an English speaking fellowship group, we recommend you check out
