[精進] [台北] 進階英語口語讀書會
1. 自介： My name is Chris. Our English study group has been in operation for
almost two years, aiming to improve English conversational/communication/
presentation skills. All members have overseas experience and most of them
work in prestigious foreign companies. We are open-minded and eager to meet
friends of various backgounds and share life/work experience, in English. On
the other hand, we are all good friends who hang out and have fun once in a
while.
2. 對象：Those who have advanced English proficiency and are confident/
comfortable to express ideas and opinions in English are welcome.
The promising members should be passionate and determined in continuously
sharpening their English communication skills, just as the current members do.
Those who have overseas(e.g. studying or work abroad) experience are
preferred.
The members are expected to attend the studygroup on a regular basis.
3. 目標： To actively maintain/upgrade English communication skills on a
regular basis and in an organized fashion.
4. 原因：One member is leaving the group for an overseas job offer, and
some of the members are taking temporary leaves to prepare for exams.
Thus, we need to recruit new members to fill in the vacancies.
5. 地點：伯朗咖啡北科大店
6. 時間：Every Sat 10-12AM
7. 方式：One host is assigned every week. The host is responsible to
pick an topic and materials to be discussed. The materials along with
discussion questions have to be posted by Wed. of the week of the meeting
he/she is hosting. At the beginning of the meeting, the host provides a
summary of the materials to be discussed and the agenda of the meeting, and
then move on to the questions. The host should try his best to get every
attendant speaking and while at the same time make sure everyone get a chance
to participate in the discussion.
8. 範圍：Ted talk, Economists, NYtimes, Havard Business Review, or even
Youtube videos.
9. 人數限制：6-8
10.解散條件：less than 4
11.運作規則：The members take turns to host the meeting. If one has to
skip a meeting, he/she must send an advanced notice to the host. The host
has to post the materials for discussion(articles, videos....) on the
group page by Wed. of the week of the meeting. Those who are absent
for 4 consecutive weeks will be removed from the member list.
