An operating income in the fourth quarter of $49 million, compared to $260 million in the third quarter and $208 million in the year-ago. Operating income in the fourth quarter was impacted by impairment charges of $114 million relating to the idling of the steel shop and rolling facilities of Indiana Harbor long carbon operations. * Sales in 2014 of $21.162 billion ($19.645 billion in 2013). Sales in the fourth quarter of $5.166 billion, compared to $5.645 billion in the third quarter and $4.991 billion in the year-ago. * Average steel selling price in 2014 of $843 per ton ($829 in 2013). Average steel selling price in the fourth quarter of $824, compared to $853 in the third quarter and $825 in the year-ago. * Crude steel production in 2014 of 25.036 million tons (24.914 million in 2013). Crude steel production in the fourth quarter of 6.142 million tons, compared to 6.485 million in the third quarter and 6.361 million in the year-ago. * Shipments in 2014 of 23.074 million tons (22.5 million in 2013).
