[問題] orthogonal ANOVA

那個....希望我的問題不會太好笑 不知道可不可以po 在 two-factor, orthogonal ANOVA 得到這個結果 Source of variation P Year 0.03 Depth 0.01 Year*Depth 0.01 我知道必須先看interaction 的p是否<0.05 在這結果 看出year 和depth有顯著地交互作用 但...書本解釋的下一句 "then the main effects should be interpreted only in terms of the interactions" 就不是很清楚該怎麼用"biological terms"解釋 是說"年分和深度對本實驗結果有顯著影響, 且不同年份和不同深度都會造成改變??" -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 110.143.238.179

因為 interaction 項顯著, 所以看 overall 的 main effect

是有問題的. 例如要看 year 的效應, 不能不考慮 Depth 的值;
