[問題] 為何三個不同群體p>0.05的結果合在一起,
大家好,我在一篇paper上看到:
B vs A
drug A drug B relative risk P value
(95% CI)
c disease
non-recovery rate 39/649 49/632 1.29(0.86-1.94) 0.23
d disease
non-recovery rate 24/78 38/93 1.33(0.88-2.01) 0.20
e disease
non-recovery rate 41/197 50/195 1.23(0.86-1.77) 0.28
c+d+e overall
non-recovery rate 104/924 137/920 1.32(1.04-1.68) 0.02
請問為何c,d,e三種病分別看,相對危險值的p value皆>0.05,
B藥並沒有比A藥差
但三種病一起看時,P value=0.02,反而有顯著意義了?
這要如何證明或解釋呢?
(我不是統計系的,個人有想過是因不同群體合在一起時,很多數值會改變,
套算式算出來的結果會使P<0.05,但總想不出更好的解釋方式)
