[問題] 台大經濟 96 年 統計第三題
題目 Y=X+e, X & e 彼此獨立。 X~ uniform(0,1), e~N(0, sigma^2)
求: F(y): CDF of Y.
Hint (Law of total probability): P(A)=E(P(A|B))
Sol: F(y)=Pr(Y<=y)
=E(Pr(Y<=y|e)) by hint
=E(Pr(X+e<=y|e)) by def.
=E(Pr(X<=y-e|e))
??? =E(y-e)
我有問題的是 ??? 這行。在解釋上是因為 X & e 獨立,
所以 Pr(X<=y-e|e) = Pr(X<=y-e) =y-e 嗎? 還是這個
方向想有問題呢?
