這兩段的大意是說
這種現象的其中一個例子 是去除掉身高不足的之後 部隊制服腰圍的分布
二維正態模型可能可以被用來很好的解釋身高和腰圍的聯合分布
不過 加上了身高的限制之後的分布 將不再是對稱的
我想它的意思是扣除掉身高不足 其實就是一個trucation
本來身高和腰圍可以用bivariate normal去描述
身高和體重個別都應該normal分布 因此個別的分布應該都對秤
可是trucation後 腰圍的分布就不再對稱
因此就不再適合用bivariate normal來描述 有身高限制下的身高和腰圍的聯合分布
