Update: Pierzynski has been placed on the 15-day disabled list due to a
strained right abdominal muscle, the Associated Press reports.
Recommendation: It's been bugging him for a few days, but obviously not
healing enough that he can work through it, so the team will sit him down and
hope for the minimum shelf time. Pierzynski has been really durable
throughout his career considering the position he plays, but he's also a
36-year-old catcher, so an ailment like this at this stage of his career
shouldn't come as much of a surprise either.
