1.Cognitive psychology has its roots in both introspectionism and
behaviorism. Please evaluate the influence of these earlier approaches on
cognitive psychology. What did cognitive psychology take from each of these
approaches and in what respects did cognitive psychology develop in
opposition to them?
2.The computer and the brain have both been used as metaphors for human
cognition. Please analyze how both the computer and the brain have influenced
the development of theory in cognition. Be specific about issues such as the
degree to which each description is metaphorical, the level of analysis
employed, and the interaction between the two metaphors.
