: "I didn't think of it like that," grins Manheim, 42. "It's
: incredibly bittersweet. The sweet part is, I still have a
: job, and I am really grateful for that. I love the show and
: I'll stay with it 'til the end of time. The bitter part is
: that the people that I've grown to know and love and who
: became my fami ly are no longer with us. You can't have one
: emotion without the other.
: "I will miss working with them on a daily basis," she continues.
: "Now that we really are such close friends, I won't have to worry
: about missing them always, because I see and talk to them all
: the time. But I'm also excited. Change can be good and [new series
: regular] James Spader is gonna be so awesome on the show. We've
: got a lot of surprises in store for the viewers, and I hope they'll
: take that leap of faith with us."
: Manheim's especially excited that Sharon Stone guest stars
: in at least three episodes. "I don't know if we're gonna get
: her for more than three," she shrugs. "You know, she's a huge
: movie star. But I'm friends with Sharon. I've known her for
: years, and I'm so looking forward to working with her."
: How did these divas meet? "After I won my Golden Globe,"
: Manheim recalls, "Sharon wrote a letter to me and said,
: 'I really like your style. Come and play with me and my
: girlfriends.' And so we became friends! How often does it happen,
: where one powerful woman writes a letter to another powerful
: woman and says, 'Join my posse.' So we've been friends ever
: since. It's great."
