[北美] Junior Field Service Engineer
SeqGen, Inc has an immediate opening for an entry level Junior Field
Service Engineer. No prior experience is required. An intensive six
month training program will be provided. Candidate must be willing to
travel frequently and have a good working knowledge of
troubleshooting as well as general electronic components.

Title: Junior Service Engineer
Job Type: Full-time.

(www.seqgen.com). Our customers include but are not limited to pharmaceutical,
biotech, and forensic companies, universities, and research institutes.
We are dedicated to providing contract service to our customers world-wide.
We also refurbish / resell new or used lab equipment such as DNA sequencers,
real-time PCR, thermo-cyclers, and distribute some sequencer reagents.
Requirement:
1. BS or MS degree in a biological science, chemistry, engineering,
computer, or related fields.
2. Must have decent computing skill. Ex. computer hardware installing,
and operation system installing.
3. Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and good troubleshooting
abilities. Molecular Biology is a plus.
4. Fluent in English conversation and able to communicate with customers
via phone and email.
5. Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Job duties:
1. Study manufacturer's service manuals and follow the standard procedure
to complete the service.
2. Repair or reinstall computer and applications software.
3. Learn how to refurbish an instrument, which includes setting up new
computer, disassembly/reassembly, replacement of parts and troubleshooting.
4. Travel to customer sites in a timely and economic manner by air, car, or
public transportation.
5. Perform on-site service for installation, preventive maintenance,
troubleshooting & repair. Train users on basic instrument operation
and maintenance.
6. Answer customer questions and provide remote assistance via email, phone
or remote access.
This job is customer service oriented and always has last minute
emergency calls. Although we try to avoid weekend work, it really depends on
the urgency of our customers. Over-time work will be compensated with paid
time off.
Salary & Benefit:
Competitive salary starting from 48K + bonus, based on your experience
and qualifications. Probation period is 6-months, and after probation 15~20%
raise may apply.
Annual salary adjustment may be 1~3% based upon performance.
Company covers all travel expense (airline, car rental, gas, hotel, meal).
Company cars are available in company office.
Company phone with data plan and laptop will be provided after 3 months.
Company's 401K plan available after 3 months.
