[外電] Three keys for NBA teams entering playoffs

By the time the NBA postseason starts,
you want three positives working for you: a hot streak, home court and health.
Over the final four days of the season, questions on those three attributes
will be answered.
Who has momentum?
In the East, the Celtics and Cavs are finishing off outstanding seasons, but
the surging Bulls have been nearly impossible to beat at home since the trade
for Brad Miller and John Salmons. "I think we're the most dangerous team
that's going to be in the postseason in the Eastern Conference right now,"
forward Tyrus Thomas said. "We're the underdog right now. But I think we're
going to come out and shock a lot of people."
Out West, wins over the Spurs and Lakers this week boosted the Blazers'
confidence, and the Nuggets have won 13 or their last 15. But beware the
Mavericks, who posted three straight wins by an average of 20.3 points to
move out of the No. 8 seed.

Who has home-court advantage in the West?
After the top-seeded Lakers, the West is tight.
Four teams—Denver, Houston, Portland and San Antonio—
are vying to seal home court in the first round, and the race might not be
decided until the final night. This would be especially important for the
Blazers, whose players have limited postseason experience.
"We feel like we can win every game at home," Portland's Greg Oden said.
"We have a great crowd. It would be big for us as a young team to open at
home."

are working injured big men back into their rotations. The Spurs' Tim Duncan
says he's playing on "half a leg." And several key players—Manu Ginobili,
Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Jameer Nelson, Elton Brand—are out.
But all eyes are on Boston, where Kevin Garnett, who has played just five
games since the All-Star break, will test his balky knee this week.
