The Nationals will receive a significant boost with Michael Morse back in the
lineup, but they still have several injuries to nurse. Here’s a rundown:
Reliever Henry Rodriguez said he did not expect to be able to pitch tonight
with a swollen right finger, which he slammed in a door. Manager Davey
Johnson, though, said “he’s available” tonight. Of course, the game was
postponed, so we’ll see tomorrow.

Reliever Ryan Mattheus, on the disabled list since May 22 with plantar
fasciitis, threw from 120 feet today. “He feels great,” Johnson said, but
there is no firm timetable for his return.

Mark DeRosa, sidelined since April 29 with an oblique strain, could soon
serve as the designated hitter in a rehab appearance at Class A Potomac.
Johnson hopes to have DeRosa back soon to help replace Chad Tracy’s impact
off the bench.
