What's funny, though, is that the one trade that really could've put the Yankees over the top - the Cliff Lee trade - wound up happening with Texas instead of New York as Seattle management shifted course at the last possible moment. The Yankees were infuriated, and for good reason - they lost out on one of few additions that could've made a big difference on their roster.
