According to Torre and several players, Derek Jeter told the infielders in
the sixth inning during a pitching change that the Yankees would win the game.
“I don’t always say that but I felt that way,” he said. “We had missed a
lot of opportunities before.”
另外 Peter Abraham 對 Melky滑壘上一壘感到生氣，認為他應該為此罰坐板凳一場。
Melky Cabrera needs to be benched for a day and fined $1,000 for continuing
to slide into first base. Joe Torre, Larry Bowa, Tony Pena and half his
teammates have told him to stop doing it. Yet he continues to do it.
OK, fine. Than sit for a day and think about it. He may have cost the Yankees
a run there. What he’s doing is insubordination at this point.
