我想學弟指的是The Sound Of Bulter & McAlmont ,
一次頗令人懷念的意外合作 ,
( though Bernie really got pissed off with that......)
我原本以為Bernie的新專輯應該是像這張一樣 ,
full of insperation and creation......^_^......
時而狂放，時而內斂的guitar riff and solo ,
雖然，我"非常厭惡"negro vocal式的唱腔，
David McAlmont又是一位滿腦子只有
" how to be a superstar & show off himself " 這類想法的人
不過，憑良心講他的表現還算可圈可點，
Bernie在Yes & You Do二首單曲用上拿手的弦樂編制，
讓人不得不聯想到radio-friendly之作"Not Alone"
但最吸引我的莫過於"How About You"中
Bernie彷彿是自言自語地彈奏著綿長悠遠的solo，
那種可以帶領著你的心跳延伸出一道起伏線的感動；
或者是"Interval"那樣僅僅撥動著不成曲調的旋律，
弦音仍透過音箱輕緩卻堅實地跟隨周圍的大氣環繞著你，
每次我都有身處深海中隨著鯨語飄浮游移的幻覺；
"Don't Call It Soul" , "Tonight" , "Although"也都是非常有靈性的作品，
就算是極為簡約的空心吉他和弦，
我都能隱約輕觸那顆長久以來持續以instruments和歌迷對話，
透明易感的心靈；
Bernie的音樂，容我引述NME critic , Steveb Sutherland的話
"Bernard Butler has relied on his guitar to express himself up until
this point and it's his guitar that still betrays his intent with a
deeper honesty . There's hardly an occasion on 'People Move On' when
the guitar doesn't say something different to the words ."
非常棒的見解，也是我對Bernie新專輯的態度。
本來並不打算寫這麼多的 ，提到Bernie就是沒辦法少說一點。
重點是，高塔有賣，令人跌破眼鏡的低價NT319；
如果還沒漲價的話。
