有可能,因為Row 或是 Column 的F統計量是在檢定 Row main factor 或是
Column main factor
在個別水準之下,抽樣的結果是否『不拒絕母體平均在該因子下,各水準平均相同』
的虛無假設
但是,Intersection Effect的F統計量則是在檢定:『Row factor及Column factor
是否有相互影響的效果』
請看以下範例:
As an example, let's assume we're planting corn. The type of seed and type of
fertilizer are the two factors we're considering in this example. This
example has 15 treatment groups. There are 3-1=2 degrees of freedom for the
type of seed, and 5-1=4 degrees of freedom for the type of fertilizer. There
are 2*4 = 8 degrees of freedom for the interaction between the type of seed
and type of fertilizer.
Theq data that actually appears in the table are samples. In this case, 2
samples from each treatment group were taken.

Seed A-402 106, 110 95, 100 94, 107 103, 104 100, 102
Seed B-894 110, 112 98, 99 100, 101 108, 112 105, 107
Seed C-952 94, 97 86, 87 98, 99 99, 101 94, 98
種植玉米的實驗設計:有兩個主要因子:Row factor:肥料(5種level)
; Column factor: 種子(3種level)
所以總共有5x3=15種treatments,而每一個treatment抽取2個樣本
所以總樣本N=5x3x2=30
這個實驗設計的Two-Way ANOVA Table如下

From the above results, we can see that the main effects are both
significant, but the interaction between them isn't. That is, the types of
seed aren't all equal, and the types of fertilizer aren't all equal, but the
type of seed doesn't interact with the type of fertilizer.
從這個表可知:玉米產量會因種子的不同而有所差異,肥料的不同也會使得玉米產量有所
差異,但是不同種子所生產的玉米產量不會明顯受到不同肥料的影響
就是這樣
