2. Which is not the difference of use of anticonvulsant for migraine from
the typical use for epilepsy?
(A) Epilepsy treatments are designed to lead to seizure freedom, whereas in
migraines the use of a preventative agent rarely eliminates headaches
completely.
(B) Periodic blood levels may be needed occasionally to titrate to effect
for seizures but are not routinely obtained for migraines
(C) Higher doses and 2 or more administrations per day are usually required
for children with epilepsy as opposed to migraines in whom a small, single
dose may be provided just at night with good results.
(D) Anticonvulsants are often continued for relatively long periods as
migraine, whereas for epilepsy they may be continued for shorter periods
