郝白:That's right.
白: It has been a long time since the war broke out.
郝: Yes, 138 years ago. Oh~~ My good old days are gone. Now I'm 160 years old.

白: I'm 165 years old.
A: You two are really super old people.
B: Can you remember the situation during the war?
白: Yes, Yes! I'd joined the most important battle, the Gettysburg battle.
I'd fought with General Lee.
郝: Oh, he was cute. He was a handsome man!
白: The past... Let me think...
(旁白: It dates back to 1865 in Gettysburg, when general Lee and Grant were
fighting desperately...)

A: You really had a dramatic life. You joined the most important war in American
history. You also saw two great generals.

A: We have a marvelous video tape of Lincoln's speech in Gettysburg in 1865.

B: After the Gettysburg, a great chapter in American life came to a close, and
a great new chapter began. The Civil War ended. The slaves were freed, the
Union survived. Since that, Americans ascertain the concept of "of the
people, by the people, and for the people."
