[NFL!] news about McDaniels and Tebow
1. 不用等到下季, Josh McDaniels 在季後賽就加入 Pats 當 OC assistant.
Sounds risky to me. Josh McDaniels sucks, but the only time he was good
was when he was in Pats.
Updating an earlier item, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Patriots are
expected to hire Josh McDaniels as an offensive assistant for the playoffs.
McDaniels is then expected to take over as departing OC Bill O'Brien's
replacement after the postseason. Adding a new coach during the postseason is
essentially unprecedented, but could make sense for the Patriots since
McDaniels is familiar with the offense and O'Brien's attention will be
divided as he undertakes the massive task of saving Penn State. That being
said, adding a new voice at this time of year is extremely risky, especially
since O'Brien hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with HC Bill Belichick and Tom
Brady this season.
2. Tebow 沒愛了. 如果必要, Broncos 準備要把 Brady Quinn 推上火線.
Well... at least the game is on Sunday. Pray harder Tebow.
You will get some love from above.
"Multiple sources" tell Profootballtalk.com the Broncos are prepared to bench
Tim Tebow if he struggles against the Steelers in Sunday's Wild Card game.
The Broncos reportedly "have a package for (backup Brady) Quinn to be used in
second-and-long or third-and-long situations." It would be incorrect to say
coach John Fox has lost faith in Tebow since he hasn't had faith in him from
the beginning, but it's clear Tebow's turnover-marred performances during
Denver's recent three-game losing streak have Fox ready to turn to Quinn, who
has not taken a regular-season snap since 2009. Tebow will be facing perhaps
his most difficult test of the season in a Steelers defense ranked first
against the pass and eighth against the run.
