[心得] The Value of Regret
By definition, regret itself breeds more regrets. The breeding process
does not make any sense, but merely churn out more regrets. Likewise, the
churned-out regrets do not mean anything but pain, anxiety, hurt feeling and
all other negative emotions that make the regretful more regretful.
Apparently, regret itself is a blind alley; once stuck in it, no hope of
getting out. Even the desperate efforts-- wrestling against regrets which in
turn send those regretfuls to a pulp -- help little, if not harm more.
In the course of human history, regrets flourish, bloom, never for a moment
threatened with extinction. Born immortal? Hardly. Their inexhaustible
nutrient comes right from the absurd humanity that never ceases to find
something new, whether this or that, to regret for.
