今天這場吹動大麥的風來了好多人
粗略估計有100人以上
創下影展至今最多人的紀錄
在這邊先感謝有來看電影的所有同學們
能和大家一起欣賞並分享好電影就是我們這次活動最大的目的和期望
今天映後座談時剛好有同學問到關於the wind that shakes the barley這首民謠的典故
以下是我在movie板看到的資訊 跟大家分享一下
"I sat within the valley green, I sat me with my true love.
My sad heart strove the two between, the old love and the new love.
The old for her, the new that made me think on Ireland dearly.
While soft the wind blew down the glen and shook the golden barley."
「The Wind That Shakes The Barley原來是 Robert Dwyer Joyce(1836-1883)
所寫的一首愛爾蘭民謠，背景是1798年愛爾蘭對抗英國統治的革命(受到美國
與法國革命的影響)。一位來自Wexford (愛爾蘭最東南方)的年輕人，離開自
己心愛的女孩，投入革命的行列。歌詞中提到的Barley大麥來自於當時的愛爾
蘭革命軍，口袋中會攜帶大麥子，在行軍時當作糧食補充。革命持續數個月之
後，奪走了大約15000~30000條人命，遍地的叛軍屍首(連同口袋中的大麥)被隨
意丟棄在路旁挖的大坑裡，不久之後長出整片隨風搖曳的大麥，成了這些人們
的墓碑。之後大麥就被當作愛爾蘭反抗英國統治的象徵。」
另外
明後兩天將放映影展最後兩部電影 疑雲殺機和諜對諜
兩部探討的都是嚴肅的國際利益議題 同時也都有中年型男賣力演出
這兩天我們也會準備影展精美海報送給有來看電影的有緣人
