Carter has decided not to have surgery on his knee, the Arizona Republic's
Paul Coro reports.
Recommendation: Carter will opt for a regimen of treatment and rest in an
effort to avoid going under the knife. He'll still probably sit out
Thursday's game, but if a few days off is enough to get his knee feeling
better, he'll have a chance to play Sunday against the Clippers.
