Josh Howard out indefinitely with ankle Josh Howard will go on the inactive list indefinitely, coach Rick Carlisle said after Friday's shootaround. Howard has been bothered by an ankle injury since the summer. "There's no definite time period [for his return]," said Carlisle. Howard returned from the injury this week and played decently in two games, but the ankle started bothering him again Wednesday. Howard insists he did not reinjure the ankle, and simply needs to give it more time to heal. Either way, very discouraging news for fantasy owners.
