Nellie hints that Crawford may get benched Without saying so explicity, Don Nelson has been hinting that Jamal Crawford could start coming off the bench as the Warriors season winds down. Nellie said he is comfortable with Andris Biedrins at center, Anthony Randolph and Brandan Wright at power forward, and Kelenna Azubuike at small forward. That leaves Stephen Jackson at shooting guard and Monta Ellis at point guard, bumping Jamal Crawford to the bench alongside sixth-man Corey Maggette. This could be part of Nellie's plan to freeze-out Crawford, encouraging him to opt out of his contract. Either way, it seems destined to disrupt Crawford's short-term fantasy value.
