Taking a cue from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Mavs players reportedly
pledged to provide meals every day for coronavirus frontliners posted in the
Dallas area.
受到小牛老闆Mark Cuban的感召，據報導小牛球員要幫達拉斯區域第一線人員提供每日的
餐食。
Per Dallas Morning News reporter Brad Townsend, the team has agreed to take
turns each day in providing meals for these modern-day heroes, as they
continue to risk their health and safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team’s best shooter, Seth Curry, reportedly got the ball rolling by
purchasing 115 dinners from a locally-owned restaurant on Saturday, which was
then given to the first responders at the mobile testing site and Dallas
emergency ops center.

The Mavs franchise, meanwhile, continues to lead the way in terms of outreach
and ideas that make a difference throughout these trying times experience
around the world. Mark Cuban was the first owner to think about the plight of
the team’s arena workers who were paid by the day.

Shortly after the NBA announced its suspension of the 2019-20 campaign, Cuban
vowed that all Mavs workers will be compensated during the hiatus. Other
franchise owners and even players followed Cuban’s initiative and did right
by their people.

Cuban, along with Luka Doncic and Dwight Powell, also spearheaded the
Mavericks’ foundation’s $500,000 donation to UT Southwestern Medical Center
and Parkland Memorial Hospital to support childcare for healthcare workers.

The young Mavs team has found success prior to the league-wide suspension.
They currently hold the seventh place in the Western Conference with a 40-27
win-loss record.
