在卡通片《大力水手》(Ppoeye)中,主角卜派只要吃罐菠菜,瞬間就會變成肌肉男力大無
窮,但美國一項最新研究發現,想要練就一身肌肉,其實應該多吃芥末。
北卡羅來納州立大學研究發現,芥末中含有類固醇「高油菜素內酯」(homobrassinolide
),可增加肌肉質量和肌肉纖維數目,動物實驗證明,連續餵食老鼠24天,老鼠不但食慾
大增,體內蛋白質合成量、體重和肌肉質量也同時上升,細胞蛋白分解情況則相對減少,
證明肌肉轉趨結實,效果足以媲美運動員非法服用的類固醇。
