大家好,我在書上討論1-sphere S (a circle in R^2)的mapping問題
其中它說圓的標準參數化φ^(-1):
y_1 = a cosθ
y_2 = a sinθ
0 ≦ θ < 2π
是insufficient,因為inverse map φ is discontinuous at point p.
p點是在(a,0)的點。
我怎麼樣都看不出來φ還是φ^(-1)在那一點上不連續 ><
可以請教強者怎麼看出在那一點p不連續嗎?

P.S.書本是說必須要靠兩個charts才能建立atlas,不過這不是我想問的。
