Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports that Freddy Garcia is close to
signing with an undisclosed team in Asia.
Garcia opted out of his minor league deal with the Braves after finding out he
wasn't going to make the Opening Day roster. He was hoping to find a major
league deal somewhere but had only been offered minor league deals to this
point. Obviously he's apparently found a better opportunity overseas.
