The Red Sox finished off the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night at Fenway Park and won the American League pennant in the process. That sets up a rematch of the 2004 World Series when the Sox and St. Louis Cardinals begin this year’s Fall Classic on Wednesday. Passan, who is a national baseball reporter for Yahoo! Sports, has a “unique” take on this year’s installment of the World Series. Just moments after the Red Sox put the finishing touches on the American League Championship Series, Passan fired off a head-scratching tweet. The report alleged a fan — the same fan who grabbed a home run ball out of another fan’s hands and threw it onto the field — made racist remarks a Tigers fan.
