來源：http://www.indiansprospectinsider.com/ As promised，小弟來為大家整理一下本季Indians Prospect Insider這個網站對於陳俊秀每場比賽的評價。先和大家說明一下，這個網站每天都會由專欄作家Jim Pete或Tony Lastoria寫一篇叫做"Around the Farm"的文章，意思就是關注印地安人農場體系球員的表現，以下我就整理一些最近這一兩個月對於陳俊秀的評價。 Around the Farm: May 1st, 2012 Chun-Hsiu Chen: PH/C, Akron: 3-for-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI: Chen is on fire, with back-to-back-to-back multi-hit games in which he’s gone 7-for-14, with three runs two doubles and two RBI. He didn't make an appearance until after the seventh inning of this game, but ended it in the tenth, with a walk-off hit. It's good to see he still has that catcher's equipment. It would be nice to see Chen hit with any sort of power, since he’s actually a right-handed hitter who shreds left-handed pitching. Chen has really started to settle in as a first baseman/DH after struggling a bit in the early part of April. In May, he’s hitting .351 overall, and has been shredding lefties (.319) and righties (.326) alike. Over his last ten games, he’s hitting 16-for-39 with nine runs scored, six doubles, seven RBI, four walks and eight strikeouts. The one struggle that Chen has had this season has been with regards to his power numbers. He only has one homer so far, which isn’t following his trend of the past two seasons that had him hitting 12 homers in 2010 and 16 homers in 2011. Chen likely isn’t going to be moving up any time soon, as I’m sure they want him to learn the position a bit more before sending him up to Columbus. The Clippers still have the LaPorta, Canzler, Mills triumvirate anyways, so there isn’t the space yet. If he keeps hitting, Chen could be a sleeper in the system as a right-handed hitter. Chen has been hotter than a firecracker at the plate, and is currently on a four-game hit streak in which he’s gone 10-for-15, with four runs, two doubles and seven RBI. He’s walked three times without a strikeout during that stretch. I still have to wonder why the Indians moved Chen to first base, where one homer just won’t cut it at the big league level. I know there was concern about health, and even defense, but now Chen is only a marginal prospect per position at best, unless he can re-discover that 16-homer-in-113 games that he showed last season. He’s hitting .286 over that stretch, with seven runs, three doubles and a triple. It would be really nice if he could add some home run power to that, as his over-the-fence power has disappeared, making him just another prospect at this point. Chen has 18 on the season, which is third overall in the Eastern League. He’s showcased that gap power all season long since he moved to first from the catcher position. That gap power is a tremendous addition to Chen’s home run power. Well…okay…his “former” home run power. Of course, when you move a guy to first base who has shown power, and he shows none, he must really be working on something complicated. Chen is hitting .315, but you have to wonder if he’s not entered the Jordan Brown-zone. I could talk about his lack of home run power, but it’s starting to get redundant. At the end of the day, the Akron 1B/DH is having a fantastic season at the plate.
