Titling Your Minidiscs In Japanese/Chinese
Need to title your ATRAC/ATRAC3/ATRAC3plus files in Japanese/Chinese using
non-Japanese SonicStage 3.2? Please follow the registry edit detailed below
and run SonicStage 3.2 with the Microsoft AppLocale Utility.
Kanji and kana characters will show as it should if you apply the following
edit properly.
--> Using regedit, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony
Corporation\OpenMG\PD\{D887F25F-02A3-44D7-841F-583DD5231B5F}
--> Then locate the entry called "AreaCode" with a value of 2 for US version.
--> Change it to 40000 hexadecimal. That's the value on the Japanese install
of SS.
** The above steps will not completely enable multibyte titling (especially
if you want to title Album titles with Chinese characters) for NetMD format.
The registry edit used prior to SonicStage 3.0 is required. Apply the edit
accordingly:
--> Using regedit, go to
--> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony
Corporation\OpenMG\PD\{F7D5CB7D-61E5-4258-AD3B-726DBAB5162C}
--> locate "UTOC4" and change its value to 3
--> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage\PD
--> locate "ShowTitleHalf" and change its value to 1
