Martin Kelly 8.0 Hugely impressive display by the Irishman, who was so confident driving forward and tracking Malouda that it is a wonder Hodgson has been so reluctant to use him more frequently. Made a superb defensive header in the second half. Jamie Carragher 7.5 Screamed, ranted and hectored at his team-mates in a performance full of passion, heart and no-nonsense defending. Martin Skrtel 7.0 The usual cocktail of last-ditch interceptions, combative headers and ugly but effective defending. There were no real howlers today, apart from one mis-timed jump that almost let Kalou through on goal. Paul Konchesky 7.0 Perhaps his finest display yet in Liverpool red. Strong and snappy in the tackle and stood up to be counted when Chelsea swarmed forward after the break. Raúl Meireles 6.5 Selfless display on the right flank from the Portuguese midfielder, who kept Cole's surging runs in check and was generally tidy, although occasionally wasteful, in possession. Lucas 8.0 Hounded Chelsea out of possession with some fine interceptions and tackles in a superbly committed and energetic display. Beginning to win the Liverpool fans over. Dirk Kuyt 7.5 Stationed in the central striker role where he made his reputation, linked up superbly with Torres for the opening goal by spotting the Spaniard's run with a beautifully weighed pass. Typified the resilience and energy of Liverpool and got a standing ovation on his comeback when he finally ran out of puff and was subbed with seven minutes left. Steven Gerrard 8.5 Galvanised by his Napoli tour de force, Liverpool's talisman was back to his effervescent best with a supreme midfield display. Orchestrated most of Liverpool's best moves and covered every inch of the Anfield turf in his desire to take his team over the winning line. Maxi Rodríguez 6.5 The confidence of his team-mates rubbed off on the Argentine midfielder, whose speed of foot and thought was sharp and effective. Even had the novelty of completing 90 minutes. Fernando Torres 9.0 Sharp, confident, explosive and, most importantly, full fit, this was the 'Nando' that Liverpool fans have been waiting three months for. His opening goal was a lesson in movement, pace and precise finishing. The second was a stunning individual expression of a striker whose limbs were working in complete alliance with his brain. Has now scored an amazing 44 goals in 47 Premier League games at Anfield.
