啊，我發現我講得有錯 orz 摘自鳥哥：
「grub-install 是安裝 grub 相關的檔案 (例如檔案系統定義檔) 到你的裝置上面去等待
在開機時被讀取，但還需要設定好設定檔 (menu.lst) 後，再以 grub shell 來安裝
grub 主程式到 MBR 或者是 boot sector 上面去喔！」
意思就是grub-install會重頭到尾安裝一次，比如說設定好stage檔, menu.lst
當然也包含grub shell的setup (寫入MBR or boot sector)
setup才是把stage1寫入MBR or boot sector的動作，包括設定/boot/grub所在的分割區
後續才能找到menu.lst及stage1.5, stage2 檔案
所以，在linux之後重灌XP，或者變動/boot/grub的位置，都只需要用到setup即可。
我記得我第一次也是用grub-install, 結果不曉得為什麼它裝了stage1.5進去
害我開機都要等好久。
