原文是推薦大家要辦FasTrak感應器,
但是我家真的很少使用這兩條道路,
雖然車上ㄧ定超過兩人所以40鎂根本不會被扣通行費(costco便宜點30多),
大概只會每月被扣月費(因為一個月開不到四趟),
怎樣算都不合算,所以現在有需要開這兩條道路時,
我們就會開上去,然後等收通知書。
大約兩週就會收到通知書,
(以下範例是07/27/13行經DOWNTOWN至聖蓋柏),
通知書上會有一張車尾有牌照的照片,
文字內容如下:
NOTICE OF TOLL EVASION VIOLATION
our records indicate that on the date, time amd location shown
on this notice the vehicle listed below traveled on the Metro
ExpressLanes without a valid FasTrak transponder. California Vehicle
Code Section 23302(b) requires that all vehicles, including carpoolers,
using the Metro ExpressLanes have a FasTrak transponder with a balance
sufficient to pay the toll amount. If you do not resolve this matter
by 09/19/13, the violation will escalate to a second notice with
additional penalties. Failure to respond to the second notice will
result in additional penalties and fee and the withholding of your
vehicle registration by the DMV and/or collection action as provid
by law.
To resolve this violation you must do one of the following:
1.open a FasTrak Account(說明略)
2.Existing FasTrak Accountholder(說明略)
3.Pay the Amount Due(說明略,基本上可以線上付款,或是郵寄支票)
4.Contest the Violation(說明略)
整張通知書上令我最驚嚇的是不同期限的繳款金額大不同唷!
Toll Amount Due $1.15(這當然依你使用的路段會變動)
If Paid by 09/03/13 $1.15(只繳使用費)
If Paid by 09/19/13 $26.15(超過09/03開罰了!)
If Paid after 09/19/13 $56.15(開罰還不繳,罰更大)
DMV Hold/Collections If not Paid by 11/18/13 $59.15(繼續加罰!)
所以目前用量少,我們是每次乖乖繳,至少不用繳月費。
當然,使用量多的人,還是申請一下FasTrak transponder比較省囉!
