Knicks' Chandler: ‘Inexperienced’ Lin ‘just wasn’t there’
GREENBURGH, N.Y. — There was rarely a question or a critique of Jeremy Lin
last season as the unheralded point guard rose from anonymity, not from the
locker room or the coaching staff.
尼克上賽季很少有質疑跟批評豪哥，這個不見經傳的PG崛起自沒人知道的場所，而不是
更衣室或是工作人員。
The Knicks insisted he was the missing piece to the puzzle with head coach
Mike Woodson assuring anyone who would listen that Lin would be his starting
point guard this year.
尼克堅稱說:"對於武僧來說，失去豪哥是失去了一塊拼圖，武僧之前宣稱豪哥會是先發"
But the Knicks are enamored with the players who have taken his place.
"I think the toughest thing last year was our best players were at the [small
forward, power forward and center] spots with nobody really to get them the
ball in the right places," Tyson Chandler said.
但尼克的球員們已經轉移目光了，老錢說:"我認為我們上賽季最困難之處在於我們
最好的球員是SF，PF，C，但是沒有人可以把它們擺到正確的地方。"
Carmelo Anthony "ends up playing a lot of the point, making a lot of
decisions a lot of the times. And although ’Melo is capable of it, I felt
like it was putting too much on [him]. This year with the additions that we
got at the point guard positions now he can play his natural role and be a
finisher and Amar’e [Stoudemire] can do the same thing," Chandler said.
"瓜瓜可以結束很多次的進攻，並且得分，他在很多時候會做出決定，雖然瓜瓜可以做到
這點，但是我覺得這對他來說做得太多了，今年我們在PG這個位子補強了很多，現在瓜
可以回到他該有的角色，並且好好跟阿罵一起當FINISHER"
今年尼克多了帶著減肥的身體回歸的肥頓，39歲老妖-老基，跟老PP。
"I can’t wait. I mean, I knew how good Ray was coming from Denver," J.R.
Smith said. "You’d always hear about playing with J-Kidd and how smart he
is, but you never really understand it until you get out there. These guys
are 100 percent better than what I thought. Even a 40-year-old Jason Kidd is
probably better than a lot of these 22, 23, 24-year-old guys."
JR表示:"我等不及了，我的意思是我跟肥頓在丹佛玩得很開心，還有你總是可以聽到
老基做了甚麼甚麼，又打得多聰明之類的，等你跟他一起上場後，你就知道他得好了，
這些傢伙比我想得還要好上一倍，即使老基40歲了，應該還是比那些22，23，24的小夥
子好。"
"The intensity is way up," Chandler said. "And also there’s also calmness
when we’re coming down court with the point guards getting things under
control and making sure we get good shots every possession."
老錢說:"競爭力是逐漸增強的，當我們的PG們可以在球場上控制住場面，並且確保我們
可以在每個位子都獲得不錯的空檔。"
The results, as much as they brought him worldwide popularity, were erratic
at times.
"Baron was hurt and Jeremy was a young point guard who was just learning,
trying to learn and figure out an offense," Chandler said. "It was nothing
against them and it was definitely nothing against Baron.
"Baron was hurt the whole year and giving us everything he had. Jeremy was a
young point guard who was inexperienced who brought a great light to the
organization. But as far as being able to run the offense and putting players
in the right position he just wasn’t there. We got some veteran point guards
that are capable of doing that."
老錢說:"大鬍子去年是受傷的，而豪弟是個年輕的PG，他才正在開始學習而已，他還在
試著去理解一次的進攻，我並不是針對他們，或是說大鬍子不好，我沒有這個意思。
"當時大鬍子傷了一整年，但她還是盡可能地幫助我們，而豪弟是年輕PG，他對於球隊來說
是缺乏經驗的，雖然他帶給了這支球隊希望之光，但是對於跑出一個進攻體系跟把其他球員們
放到對的位子來說是還有段距離的，現在我們得到了一些老將PG可以做到這一點。"
Chandler also took issue with Shaquille O'Neal, who on TNT named the NBA's
two best centers as Brook Lopez and Andrew Bynum.
對於大歐他們最近在吵肉配之跟草莓獸，還有掰人，誰是較好的中鋒
“I was watching SportsCenter this morning, eating breakfast in the team
lounge, and was laughing at the whole thing,’’ Chandler said. “I honestly
think it’s comical. I don’t care about rankings.
“That’s one individual’s point of view. I know where I’m at. I know what
my value is. And I know I have to continue to get better.’’
老錢說:"喔!我今天早上吃早餐時有看到新聞了，然後我大笑了一陣子，我真心地認為
這是場鬧劇，我並不在意排名，這只是個人觀點，我知道我在哪，我知道我的價值在哪
我知道我可以變得更好的。"
“That’s been my career,’’ Chandler said of being overlooked.
老錢:"反正我的職業生涯一直都是被忽略的(笑)"
“It gave us a foundation to work on,'' Chandler said.
“Every move he gave me isn't going to work for me but I can take pieces of
it.
對於大夢的指導，老錢說:"他教了我們很多基本功，雖然我可能不會全部都用，但我會拿出
一些來用的!"
