The 2011 NBA Draft is a short while away, and teams have begun bringing in prospects to evaluate their talent. Some players' draft stock has fallen dramatically, while others have risen substantially in the past few weeks; a trend that will occur up until that June 23 date in Newark, New Jersey when all is finally said and done. Recently, Chad Ford (ESPN Analyst) posted a tweet revealing the Sacramento King's adoration of point guard Brandon Knight from Kentucky University. At 6'3" tall, Knight averaged just under 18 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds per game in his freshman season at KU. Currently in the rotation at point guard for the Kings are Beno Udrih and Marcus Thornton. They are decent players, but the Kings need an all-star caliber point guard to lead the team, night in and night out. Enter Brandon Knight. With the 7th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings can't realistically hope to select Brandon Knight. Knight is a near-consensus No. 3 overall pick to the Utah Jazz. In order for the Kings to grab their future point guard, a trade must be panned out before the draft day of June 23. A trade involving the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings could look something like this: Utah Receives: Tyreke Evans, SG 7th Overall Pick Sacramento Receives: 3rd Overall Pick C.J. Miles, SG/SF Raja Bell, SG Another trade possibility could involve three teams. A Jazz-Kings-Blazers deal could look like this: Utah Receives: Tyreke Evans, SG Marcus Thornton, PG/SG 7th Overall Pick Sacramento Receives: 3rd Overall Pick Rudy Fernandez, PG/SG Greg Oden, C/PF Portland Receives: Devin Harris, PG C.J. Miles, SG/SF *Breaking this trade down: First, Utah sends Devin Harris and C.J. Miles to Portland. Secondly, Portland sends Rudy Fernandez and Greg Oden to Sacramento. The Kings, in turn, give Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton to Utah. The Jazz then swap draft picks with the Kings. (3rd to Sac. and 7th to Utah.) Are these trades realistic?
