DNA序列包含著許多nucleotides,在以前的觀念中,
每三個nucleotide即為一個密碼子,可被轉譯成一個胺基酸.
然而並不是所有在DNA序列中的nucleotide都有意義,
因此整DNA可被分成intron和extron的部分,
intron簡單的來說就是所謂垃圾DNA片段,
extron的部份才會轉錄成我們所需要的物質.
因此,一個或一個以上的密碼子,可轉譯為一個具有功能蛋白質的DNA片段,
我們稱為一個"gene",
然而genome泛指染色體中包含的所有DNA訊息,包括intron和extron.
基本概念好像是這樣的,希望可以解決你的問題!
