This may be a blessing in disguise as he will have more time to handle and create with the second unit while Kobe Bryant, one of the players with highest usage percentage, takes some rest. He will also run some Bryant post-up plays to command double teams and free up shooters. If Lin can improve some more on his reliable jump shot, he will be a weapon in any system that Scott will implement.
