[新聞] 虎航威航 拚明年賺錢

台灣虎航、威航兩家本土廉航的資本額都是20億元,但營運近兩年合計累虧金額近11億元,在市場激烈競爭之下,兩家業者的營運目標是今年底要達成單月損益兩平,並希望明年可以開始獲利。
民航局官員認為,兩家本土廉航的營運策略不是很清楚,也看不出來他們有開拓新的客源出來,感覺上是有旅客的地方就搶著去飛,也沒有和母公司進行市場區隔,未來要獲利恐怕得多加努力開拓新客源才行。
台灣虎航發言人羅道瑋表示,現在油價成本還是偏高,但票價一直無法拉高,且許多航線營運狀況不如預期,還有申請三條兩岸航線目前僅核定一條,加上機隊數量還在增加中,整個航網尚未形成,迄今尚無法獲利;但在新機陸續引進,新航線持續開闢下,載客量會不斷拉高,訂定今年底損益兩平的目標並未改變。
威航發言人湯敦台說,營運初期投入很多行銷、宣傳成本,並積極建立品牌形象和培養市場,而且有機隊購置、人員訓練的費用,不可能一開始營運就賺錢,國外的廉航也是如此,現在威航的市場品牌已經建立,會開始篩選航線,優化航網,剔除載客量不佳的航線(如馬尼拉)。
他認為,現在的票價還是太低,希望可以逐漸拉高票價,當然旅客選擇搭乘廉航,主要是看中票價比傳統航空低,拉高票價只是比現在高一些,整體還是比傳統航空便宜的。
廉航如果一張機票可以調高1,000元,對旅客不會造成太大負擔,但對公司的營收就差很多。
