Josef is an Austria Social Democrats MEP. I first met him two years ago. He took me to the 'No More Walls' demonstration supporting refugees, and sang John Lennon's 'Imagine' together at the assembly , then became very good friends! He has followed Taiwan's situation very closely. When Li Ming-Che, a Taiwanese Human Rights defender, was arrested by the Chinese government, he also advocated for his human rights and for Taiwan in the European Parliament. This time, in addition to forwarding the UPR reports about Li's case to him, I also expressed our concerns over many international airline companies changed their description of Taiwan as part of China due to China's threats, including many European airline companies. And it seems that not so many EU countries are taking actions fighting against this Chinese Orwellian nonsense. Anyways, I really appreciate Josef's support for Taiwan and his passion for defending Human rights across the world.
