不知道現在新 GRE 大家都怎樣準備...
小弟沒有多餘閒錢跟時間去補習 (學校在花蓮...)
我還是乖乖的背紅寶書..11張 然後準備寫 OG 再作陳聖元
不過就像 Magoosh GRE Blog 裡面講到的一樣
比如說
guy : a rope, chain, rod, or wire attached to something as a brace or guide ─
called also guyline
這種單字只會對類比有幫助
不過紅寶書的確忠實列出來了
我是滿認同裡面 CHRIS 的講法
英文裡面真的有很多外來語...特別是法語
最好的辦法就是多閱讀多看不要死背

A. pretty
2. pariah = outcast
N. If you describe someone as a pariah, you mean that other people dislike

p.s. this word comes from Hindi
3. nabob
N. a wealthy, influential person
p.s. 這個字最早用在印度人形容那些住在印度的有錢英國佬
4. bwana
N. master, boss
p.s from Arabic, meant father
5. zeitgeist
N. the spirit of the times
p.s fome German
文中建議不要學字根
因為有些字根本就是外來語
這現象在中文也可以見到 比如說 西打=cider
不過我還是覺得因為我們是外國人
最快的入門還是從單字中學字根
我也買過字根的書... 不過老實說很多根本就瞎扯
為了背單字反過來背一堆字根好像不是明智之舉...
不知道大家還有沒有其他準備上的想法~
可以提出來交流一下 XD
