We understand that different people or political parties in Taiwan may have different viewpoints on the Cross-Strait Agreement on Trade in Service. However, the power of a government is from the people and for the people. Public safety must be the highest priority in making public decision. No matter how important economically the free trade : agreement can be, it cannot justify any violence against the peaceful protest of the students.
