A "high-ranking" Pirates official told Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh
Post-Gazette that the club is not planning to promote top prospect Gregory
Polanco on Friday.
This conflicts multiple reports that the talented young outfielder is on the
way up. Either way, he should arrive in the majors soon and make an immediate
fantasy impact. The 22-year-old outfielder is batting .351/.410/.547 with six
home runs, 47 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 57 games this season at Triple-A
Indianapolis.
