Blue Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion needs surgery on his left wrist and will
miss the remainder of the season.
Manager John Gibbons said there is no structural damage to Encarnacion's
wrist. The surgery, which will clean up scar tissue and repair damaged
cartilage, requires about two months of recovery, meaning Encarnacion should
be fully recovered before spring training.
