Howard was injured during Sunday's game and his condition did not improve
enough to avoid the disabled list. Ross Gload is listed as the backup first
baseman for the Phillies, but it would not be surprising so see them try
Jayson Werth or Raul Ibanez at first so that Domonic Brown could play the
outfield and get as much offense into the lineup as possible. The Phillies
have not announced how long Howard will be out, but fantasy owners will have
to go with other options for at least the next two weeks.
